One thing with halmstad is that this music group with Per Gessle and some other band memeber. They had a group called Gyllene Tider. They played some kind of music pop I guess. But their songs about the Swedish summer and the girls from my great country, then you feel the real summer feeling if you are in bar in a tourist destination on the west coast or in Gotland. This group wrote many good summer hits.

Halmstad BK.

Well, Halmstad BK is a very good football club and they hae made many start and the last for the moment is Fredrik Ljungberg. Niclas Alexandersson has also plaed here, but he finished his career in IFK Göteborg this season (2008). Nothing.

Old coastal road

Again, I have no pictures but I promise you that the old main road north to Falkenberg is very scenic with seaside, manor houses and rolling countryside along with a little plane and car museum in the middle of it all just as you've crossed the Falkenberg border.

Picasso Park

The Picasso Park on the eastern side of the river, has as its main focus a sculpture carried out by the Norwegian artist Carl Nejsar in 1971 but after a model by Picasso which you cannot fail to recognise. The sculpture is known as "Woman's Head" or Kvinnohuvud and Picasso used his wife as model. There is a similar one in Kristinehamn in County Värmland. The park itself is small but nice since you have the river nearby and also lots of people to look at since they often walk past from the nearby bus station. You can rest in a Halmstad variety of the park bench (fourth pic).

The main square of Halmstadt, Stora Torg,is dominated by the modern but beautiful fountain Europa and the Bull. In a sunny winter day it was pleasant to stroll around, but the Scandinavian prices in the shops didn’t motivate the women.
