Tower in the backside of the castle

Sunset and sunrise in Örebro
Going for a bikeride early one morning and just wandering the streets taking in the local sights and then buying danishes at a local bakery and doing my best impression of a Swede, of which I failed dismaly at but I did get my danishes and I did get a laugh out of the whole situation.

The tourist information is in the castle in the cetre of the city. Örebro has also got a very big swimming-hall called 'Gustavsvik' for the whole family. It has got big wawes every 30th(?) minutes...
If you don't want to take the guided tour, but do want to learn a little about the castles history, you should visit the exhibition. It is a bit hidden away, so you might not notice it, if you don't know where to go. So here is a little tip of how to find it : when you are in front of the main entrance of the castle, walk around it to the right side. A small path besides around the castle tower, alongside the moat brings you to the entrance of the exhibition.
Opening times of the exhibition :
June 2-August 18:
Mon-Fri 9.00-19.00, Sat-Sun 10.00-17.00.
Rest of the year:
Mon-Fri 10.00-18.00, Sa 10.00-14.00
Sun 11.00-14.00.
It was a beautiful day when I was in Örebro, and it was nice to walk around the castle in the sunshine. The location of the castle is a bit unusual though; it is in the middle of the city centre of Örebro. In the background on the right side of the picture (click on it to enlarge it) you can see the buildings of the city centre.
If you follow the road signs to the city centre you can't miss finding the castle.
