The castle in Örbero
My friends and I just walked by this nice church..... it was the weekend and it was already late so it was closed and we couldn't take a peek inside. But I was very impressed with the building itself so I made this picture. Probably the inside isn't as spectacular anyway because it's a lutheran church and they tend to have a very modest decoration... But the architecture of the building certainly gives more charm to the town's downtown area.
When I was still wandering around one morning aimlessly I found this man in Orebro square painting the medieval St. Nicolai Church . So I sat and watched him paint this church from scratch which turned into an amazing painting.
Stadsparkens café is situated in a big park with the river. It is very beautiful and if you come here a perfect summer day, you have to buy a coffee or a cold ice cream. This is a beautiful place to relax or bring a date here during the day time, and if you have kids they can run around on the open grass plans.
Beautifully situated on the banks of the River Svartån in the centre of Örebro is the little wooden village of Wadköping. The village consists of a collection of ancient buildings from Örebro and the surrounding countryside, and was opened in 1965. There are 18th-century timbered buildings in traditional red, and lovely bright 19th-century wooden houses which have all been moved to this site in the City Park, along with two museum buildings – the King’s House (16th century) and Cajsa Warg’s House (17th century).
Wadköping is the oldest part of Örebro which is a little town completely built in timber and located by the Svartå river. Time stands still here and there are a variety of little shops and crafts on exhibition. During the summer period open air theatre is performed.
