How old are they? I grew up in a town not too far from Linköping and we used to go on school trips to Old Linköping which is an open air museum with old Linköping wooden houses with various handicrafts in and animals etc.
Then there is the Swedish airforce museum and trips on canal boats to entertain them. You can find info on my Linköping page, although unfortunately there are no pictures of anything as I haven't been back there since I became a VT member :))) But my tips have some weblinks to the sights' own pages...

The stunning cathedral, the small town center with narrow pedestrian streets, the colorful flowers all over the town, old buildings, monuments, nice terraces for enjoying a drink are only some of the things that contribute to Linkoping's wonderful atmosphere.
A stop to Linkoping cannot be other than pleasant and the town is definitely worth a visit.
The tree of life, made of silver, gold and glass, was made by Carl Gustav Jahnsson, Jan Ostwald and Torbjorn Vogt and placed in the cathedral in 1997.
The tree has 153 golden leaves and different fruits symbolizing the virtues.
The tree of life is the symbol of eternal life.
The current St Lars Kyrkan was built in 19th century and it is the third to be built on this site.
The first church was a wooden stave church built in the 11th century, while the second one was in use until 1802.
In the church's crypt remains of the Medieval church beneath the floor of the present church can be still seen.
The church has a "Glockenspiel" which plays three times a day.
Outside Linköping is Göta Kanal, (which is most famous for being the place where a popular swedish movie was made :)
It's very beautiful in summer (this photo is taken in spring, so it is not as green as it usually is) and a great place to go swimming.
