We thought it would be very central location, when it was told to be above the railway-station. We didn´t have any map, so we didn´t even find the centre! We came quite late (because we were stucked in Stockholm because of the Stockholm marathon) and we were too tired to keep on searching. Too bad-now we didn´t see much about Norrköping! Rooms were o.k. (We had one with own bathroom). You needed to put the linen yourself, but it didn´t mind us.
It was told at the Booking.com that the parking would be 4e. That was the mainreason for us to choose the hotel. But the parking was 18euros!!!!!!!!!! (and it was only from 22.00 to 7.00. I wonder how much it would have been, if we would have for longer stay!) Very BIG disapointment! Huge difference!
Unique Quality: Rooms were clean and big. Would have given more "stars" for the price, if it the parking would have been like said. And there would have been some maps to use!
Room was 50e, and good for the price.

In Norrköping there is great fishing, a lot of people take daytrips to Norrköping to fish for salmon or trout. You can also fish for pike, bass and other fish I don't know the english name for.
A permit is 50 crowns a day and youths under 18 fish for free. Every year 10.000 new trouts and salmons are inserted into the river to ensure a rich and living fish population.
Take a boat trip out to the Arkipelag in ST:Anna or Gryt if you visit in the summertime and you get the most beutifull nature experiens you have ever seen with hundred of islands and bring your fishing gear and catch a pike for lunch.
The famous Hällrinstningarna - rock carvings - at Himmelstalund are located on a couple of gently sloping hills in the middle of a park and leisure area.
There was once an old farming community located here. There are 57 stones and about 1650 figures carved onto these surfaces. They are one of two large rock carving collections found in the country.
These carvings show a rich variety of motives. The most common is that of the ship, there are 650 of these, after that come the animal figures, and the elf stones, around 260 each of these motives. The most prominent is the figure of a man, footprints, different weapons and sun symbols. Unique for the area is the number of large paw figures of unknown meaning, and also a road with 25 paw marks from a bear.
In one of the inside yard of Saltängsallén there is a gardencafé called "Gubbens Trädgård". A very nice, relaxing place in the summer where they also arrange sing-along nights and other performances during the summer.
Norrköping is a small city located a barely two hours train ride south of Stockholm.
It is a quite important port and is connected to the Baltic sea via the Bråviken bay.
Just north of Norrköping is a nice zoo, Kolmården.
