Approach Helsinborg by ferry from Denmark to get the best feel for the city straight away. From the deck of a ferry, you can make out the City Hall and then Kärnan fortress high on its hill and you can imagine the defense needs.

Parking and wireless internet in Helsingborg
Hello. Does anyone know where one can park a car for free or cheaply for a couple of days in Helsingborg?
And if there is any place where one can take a laptop and use the wireless internet?

Of the WiFi places in the site given, café Level is nice - I don't know all the others. I would also be surprised if you could not find a "Cloud" spot in the Knutpunkten building where the ferries leave and where the main train station is. Most major train stations in Sweden offer Cloud.

Helsingborgs IF has won the Swedish premier league but since then been in financial difficulties and the city council recently had to step in to save the club, much to the irritation of nurses and teachers who saw money disappear...Nevertheless, they seem to be back and no wonder - this is the club that had Henrik Larsson playing for it before his Celtic days!
Remaidnance of the work of defence
Kärnan is the thing that most people visit when in Helsingborg. It's a tower used to defend the city.
You can go in for a small fee. The view from the top is verry good, but in my opinion the history of the place is even better. Particular if you combine the history with the architectural solutions to practical problems. The loo, for example, is just a hole in the wall. That way you can *** on the people below.
Spring is near
Although it was still quite cold while we were in Helsingborg there were signs of spring all around us. There were beautiful flowers on the street which allowed you to realize that it really was April and spring was very near.
Fredriksdals Open Air Museum
Set in a wonderful French-English park landscape, you can stroll around and enjoy a working Skåne farm, old countryside buildings, an outdoor theatre, the old Fredriksdal Mansion, preserved Helsingborg shops and a graphical museum amongst other things.
