Re: Going to Helsingborg

Yes, I mean the Hospital in Heslsingborg. How can I get there from the main train station?

You can walk. Distance is about 1 km - 12-14 min.

You can take a bus (several lines go that way) for a couple of minutes (SEK 18) and then walk 3-4 min.

Hello. Which bus exactly can I take to get from the train station to the hospital? And is there any bus shedule on the internet where I check it?

I have also another question. If I would take a train and come to Helsingborg at about 11 p.m. at night, can I then find a bus comnnection to a hostel? Or taxi is the only option at such a late time? But I guess it will cost very much money.

Thank you very much. I could check it .

Can anyone also tell me what to see in Helsingborg? Is it far away to get to the beach from the main train station?

Travel Tips for Helsingborg

Twin towns

by ginte

Helsingborg has several twin towns and Helsing¸r in Denmark is one of them. Its beautiful town centre, with old buildings and beautiful small cottages from times gone by, has been preserved better than ours. Both towns are engaged in a joint infrastructure project, the European Corridor, which includes the construction of a railway tunnel between Helsingborg and Helsing¸r.

Råå Fishing Village

by Sjalen

Råå is a nice old fishing village which has been wrecked by both Danes and Russians but now boasts more leasure boats than anywhere in Skåne. It is also nice to just stroll along the old cottages or visit the small maritime museum (link below).

Helsingborg's majestic Town Hall (Rådhuset) is located next to the main square (Stortorget). It was built in neo-Gothic style, with towers and pinnacles, lavishly decorated facades and a 65-metre-high bell tower, from which melodies can be heard across the city at 09.00, 12.00, 15.00, 18.00 and 21.00 every day. The Town Hall, completed in 1897, was designed by the architect Alfred Hellerström.

Jacob Hansen's house

by eva_oberg

Built in 1641, Jacob Hansen's house is one of the few houses in Helsingborg remaining from that era. Built in traditional style, it is today situated next to the monument for Tycho Brahe - the famous astronomer who lived on the island Ven in the Sound between Denmark and Sweden.
