Skånes Djurparks Camping Grottbyn: Cave hostel and good camping

This is a tranquil and rural campsite which is still quite popular as it is next to the main entrance to the zoo. The service house has everything you need and the ground is nice. My only negative remark is maybe that the reception shop could be a bit better stocked up and have longer opening hours, but as long as you are aware of these facts and bring your own food (or have a car to take you back to the supermarkets of Höör) you should like it here.

Like many campsites, it also has a hostel (belonging to the independent SVIF association), but unlike other hostels, this one comes in caves as you can see from the picture. Don't worry though, they are all specially built caves and have heated rooms and all mod cons. You share the service house with the camp site guests.

Unique Quality: There is a stoneage village built here by archaeology students from Lund University (mainly open during school terms) and the service building is therefore inspired by this theme with mock cave paintings on the wall and a generally cosy "stone age" design to it.
