In the heart of Malmö

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on August 6, 2008

Very easy to find when you arrive at Malmö central station, just cross the canal and you'll see the hotel over the street on your right. Kramer is located on Stortorget, so you're right in the heart of the city. The hotel is a beautiful old building and the interior is very old-fashioned, but looks nice, it's like you've stepped back in time.

My room was up on the third floor and when I first opened the door I was surprised to see how big the room was! It was an economy room for single use, so I was expecting something very small, but it was more spacious than some double rooms I've stayed in. Even with a double bed there would still be a lot of space. Got a great deal on Scandic website and paid only 495 SEK (~52 EUR)/ night for a single room which was a real bargain I think.

The furniture in the room was red wood and green marble (or something that looked like marble at least), which made a kind of past times luxury feeling to it. Bathroom was quite spacious as well, with a bath tub. When I took a shower the whole bathroom floor flooded for a while.

The room had only one small window and you could only see the roof of the neighbouring building. No a/c, but you could open the window and since it was so high there was no street noise.

I had to catch an early train back to the airport so didn't get a chance to eat breakfast. But you can always trust on Scandic breakfast and I don't think Kramer is an exception.

Directions: 5 mins' walk from the railway station, cross Mälarbron and then follow Hamngatan to Stortorget. Hotel's on the right.

Good accomodation with Silja-line

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on October 30, 2006

We recommend this hotel if you travel by car with Silja-line ferry company. You can book a ferry ticket with a comfortable night in Scandic-hotels not only in Malmo but in Scandinavia as well...

Unique Quality: The Scandic Segevång hotel is located in Segevang on the outskirts of Malmo, 15 minutes drive to the city centre. The hotel is well connected for transport links.

Tee off on the 27-hole golf course, swim in the outdoor pools or indoor and keep fit at the gym or football pitch. Do business in one of 11 meeting rooms, dine in our restaurant or relax on the Sports Bar outdoor veranda.
