Internet Cafe
by sprdak11
Hello. I'm visiting Eskilstuna for a few days. Is there any internet cafe, possibly near to the train station?

Hi,
I quickly googled it for you and there is one called Gameheaven (gameheaven.nu) at Smedjegatan 41 (this is about 5 minutes from the station). Alternatively it would be possible to go to the library where there are drop-in computers where you have 15 minutes of free internet time. I am not sure how this works if you are not from Sweden, but you can ask at the information desk.

Travel Tips for Eskilstuna
Parken Zoo in Eskilstuna.
by Dizzyhead
Well, in Eskilstuna we have a zoo with many exclusive animals for example the white tiger. There are many more things to do at the zoo, and a place where children like to go. Some times during the summer there are concerts with famous Swedish and foreign artists. You also have a smaller tivoli here and when it is too hot, you go to parkenbadet and swim in the big swimming pool. When I was young and we went here and drank during the summer nights. I also went here during the day time to to watch the animals and swim in Parkenbadet.
Walk in Stadsparken close to the river....
by Dizzyhead
It is very beautiful along the river of Eskilstuna, also called in Swedish Eskilstunaån. Here you can feed the ducks in the river during the winter. Walk around and sit down and read your newspaper. bring a blanket and have a picnic with your girl friend/boy friend or all your friends. You can just bring a book and sit here and read. I like when it is so quiet along the riverand watch the ducks and just relax.
Five figures with Saint Eskil
by sim1
These five figures are originally from the medieval church altar. Looking from left to right you can see a Saint Dominic, Saint Birgitta, Saint Eskil (holding the three stones, as a symbol as he was stoned to death), an unknown female saint and on the right a holy king, either Saint Olov or Saint Erik. The sculptures are from around 1475.
Mälarsjukhuset (the hospital)
by Dizzyhead
Here is not a place where you will go if you have vacation. Here att he hospital you have all chances to get the help you need. They also sell medicin here (Apoteket see more under my Sweden page). At the hospital there is a café, restaurant, hair dresser and a smaller service shop. Phone nr is 016 - 10 30 00.
Fors Kyrka: some more views

In the first picture you can see a wonderful photo of a burning candle, giving atmosphere to this little old church.
In the second picture you can have a closer look at the altar, which was donated by the Lohe family. It is an oil painting made by the French painter Eustace Lesueur in 16th century.
In the third picture you can see one of the glass stained windows.
