best location,small price

all hostels booked in Stockholm, searching for an accomodation not too much expensive(quite hard in such expensive city).find the A&B hotel. special price for a single room(not really small) plus an extra-bed about 630 sek/night(august 2006) with common toilet.clean room and bathroom.hostel accomodation possibility.
at the first floor of an elegant palace in the smart grev turegatan.
great location,it 's worth the staying.
the staff was just a woman, brusque but funny, who took a liking to us and let call for free by her pc,and have OUR breakfast with our biscuits and coffees etc. in the main hall, really confortable.
good prices,if compared with most Stockholm's hostels, which offers very few with just few smaller prices.
if i will go to stockholm,i surely reserve here.entrusting.

Unique Quality: location close to everything(public transports, cool shops and restaurants, supermarket, park)

Cheap hotel in heart of Stockholm

by crazypaws about Kom Hotel

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in July 2008. The room was very small, but since it was just me, it was ok. There's a complimentary breakfast, it had all you could ask for: fruit, all sorts of bread, cereal, eggs,... I was looking for a relatively cheap hotel (which can be hard to find in Stockholm), and Kom Hotel fit the bill. The hotel is conveniently located in the center of Stockholm. It only takes a short walk (or subway ride if you want to) to the sights.

Real Comfort.

by alectrevor about Comfort Hotel

The Comfort hotel is near the railway station, it lives up to its name. Breakfast is good. Coffee is available free 24 hours, The price for single was 530 SKK. April 2010.

A luxurious hotel

by hopang about Grand Hotel, Stockholm

Grand Hotel is a five star hotel and is one of the leading hotels in the world. The hotel is located at Södra Blasieholmshamnen just in front of cruise harbour at Nybroplan in the heart of Stockholm. Popular attractions around the hotel are Kungsträdgården, National Museum, next to the hotel and China Theatre at Nybroplan.

Stockholm's main shopping street Hamngatan is within a stone's throw from the hotel. This is a low rise hotel with approximately 400 well-furnished rooms. Its interior decorations are some of the best you can see in Scandinavian countries! It is considered a landmark in Stockholm.

The Grand Hotel was offically opened for business in 1874 after undergoing building construction between 1872 and 1874. It was founded by Jean Francois Regis Cadier, a French businessman in 1872. The hotel is popular with guests of noble prize winners and their families in December every year.

Among its rather impressive amenities are several restaurants and bars, health center with spa and massage, banquet and conference facilities, high speed internet access, wheelchair accessible, pets allowed, babysitting etc.

Quality Hotel Royal

by jheller about Quality Hotel Royal

Prices will be lower during the summer season. Part of the Quality hotels chain, the Hotel Royal in Umeå was in a class of its own. Free mineral water in the room, apples and oranges available in the hallway and, to the delight of my travel companion, a pinball machine near the elevator. Aside from the extras, the room and bed were as they should be, and breakfast was delicious.

World’s Coolest Hotel...

by Porteplume

.
Interesting facts from WEB:

The world’s coolest hotel is in Jukkasjärvi in the far north of Lappland, 200 km (125 miles) north of the Arctic Circle.

Each winter 3,000 tons of ice and 30,000 cubic metres (1,000,000 cu.ft) of snow are used to build the 4,000 sq.m. (43,000 sq.ft) Ice Hotel. The indoor temperature is –4 to –9°C (25–16°F) and visitors sleep in snug sleeping bags on snow beds draped in reindeer skins.

For who loves aviation, I...

by Dutch

For who loves aviation, I would suggest the 'Good Evening Hotel' in Linkjoeping. It's full with drawings and pictures of planes, pilots etc. In the stairway they even have a 'paratrooper' hanging from the ceiling.

' The Ice hotell'

by ballabali about ' The Ice hotell'

1960 SEK per room (double) The hotel, the curch, the museum ...and everything else is build in ice! It is absolutely amazing! Take a look on their webpage www.icehotel.com for more info.

MALMO YOUTH HOSTEL - forget...

by rickyvilla81

MALMO YOUTH HOSTEL - forget it. There is but one, and it is five miles out of town. We walked there, what a mistake. And it had th gall to be closed during the day when we got there. So we buggered off to Copenhagen. When we came back to Malmo, we stayed in a posh hotel in the centre of town, on one of the Main squares, the Hotel Noble. Very nice too! especially the Swedish breakfasts, with the herring. Lovely!!

Winter wonderland

by CliffClaven

For those of you who submit questions like 'Where is Sweden' to the discussion forum, let me tell you that it is up there. And it snows in winter. Just check in at the end of October and wait for the thaw next spring. Don't expect to take a taxi to your hotel. And do take something to read, unless you can cope with 'Moby Dick' in Swedish from the hotel library.

Apartment like hotel in Stockholm?

by BuffAnne

We are looking for a hotel which includes minimal cooking facilities for a week long stay in June. It could be a studio or very small apartment. I do what such a hotel is callled in Swedish. Apart-hotel? or apartotel?
If possible we would like to stay in Ostermalm or Gamla stan. Thank you these places seem to really make my children's jet lag transition easier.
