The hotel has changed name, it belongs to Elite group and is "Elite Hotel Arcadia". The hotel has excellent location (better can be found from Old Town or in the Center, but the prices climb up or you have to be early bird to get the reservation). It's third subway station from Stockholm-C and there are bus stop (44) in front of the hotel.
First things first. It was really a pleasure to be here. Excellent, quiet service and this was one of the short list of hotels were bathroom lightning was perfect. You know, on the morning, after long dinner, you look the mirror with bad and hard lightning! Ah, here the lights were from two sides (photo included) and full length!
One tip to remember. There is a electric towel warmer in the bathroom. Check that it has power, there is tiny switch on the right side (with red light when working), on default it seemed to be switched off.
The stay was easily and kindly extended to 4:00PM, really, with smiling faces :)
Unique Quality: I don't know if it was a Friday surprise, but about 5:00PM they served a buffet free of charge on the terrace. They only charged drinks, but all snacks, chicken wings and legs, meat, sauces, peanuts and soft drinks were on complimentary. Perfect and caring.
Breakfast was superb also, as you can wait from all around Scandinavia. What the best, first soft eggs were soft and freshly cooked (not those hard and grey/yellow which are too common even in good hotels) and secondly, I like those tiny Kalle's Caviar tubes!
Directions: Östermalm, some two hundred meters from Tekniska Högskolan subway station.
