    Comfort on a budget

    by

Staying at Comfort hotel right now, and very happy with it.
Would recommend, but they don't seem to need it - full-booked most of the time.

Very positive attitude from the staff; had helped me when WI-FI failed, promised to print the boarding pass, too. The personnel is there when you need them, but do not impose their services on you
Nice minimalist design - everything you need, nothing exuberant
And, of course, a very favourable location - arriving at the City Terminal, you never have to stick out into the street, walking under its marquee all the way to the entrance of the hotel.

    This is how you go:
    Arriving by bus:
With the City Terminal behind your back and the railway in front of you (you won't see it, actually, as it is under the bridge, what you will see is the office of the 'Dagbladet' news group), turn right and walk along the glass wall (the street is very properly called Terminalslingen). Turn right again at the corner - that's the street Kungsbron (King's bridge). There at # 1 the hotel is waiting for you. No more than 3 minutes to walk, wheelchair-friendly - no stairs.

    Arriving by local train:
With the grand Central railway station behind you and facing no less grand Vasagatan (one of the central thoroughfares), turn left. Walk until Kungsgatan (King’s street, even bigger than Vasa – local standards. Turn left. While you do so, take notice of the Burger King on your left and the small 7/11 shop – big chance you’ll use them for lunch. Go up to Kungsbron – you will pass first the famous Oscar theatre, all in glow, then less well-known, but even more decorated Casino Cosmopol. Cross a small street called Östra Järnvägsgatan, and you will see the hotel sign in just a few steps. It’s the same hotel entrance, only reached from the opposite corner.

    Arriving by Arlanda Express train:
Easiest of all, except your budget – some stairs up, and there you are.

    Unique Quality: Good news:
Location: literally over Arlanda Express, Bus terminal and Central railway station; World Trade Center in the same building
    Free tea/coffee 24 h
Free Internet - using it now :)
TV – several Swedish channels (they run captions for English language films), one Danish and one Norwegian; BBC World
Burger King and 7/11 around the corner (both open next to round the clock)
The famous Cafe Vetekatten - same street, 3 minutes to go and a good deal of money to leave there

    Not so good news:
Very small rooms, and not all of them have windows; they have a screen with a vague light instead, which earned the place the nickname of a 'Japanese hotel'.
A twin room is really a single room with an extra bed attached to the wall!
A bit cold in the room
Can’t say if there are TV channels in any other languages than above-mentioned, must be payTV

Directions: Very easy to find, see above

    Convenient location

    by

The hotel is located in a convenient location which is near the world trade center and the arlanda express train which takes you directly to arlanda airport. The hotel is very clean and the breakfast room is elegantly designed. The rooms are very small by american standards, if you are tall you may have a problem stretchng your legs in the bathroom but it is very clean and comfortable. I would recommend it for one person for a short stay.

Unique Quality: "This hotel offers a complementary breakfast and cookies with swedish and american options.

It lives up to its name of comfort

I stayed here at New year and they had made a real effort with decorations around the hotel top keep you in the festive mood. Its 3* but it really seemed more than that.
The location of the hotel is fab, once we got to the airport we got the Arlanda Express train to the station, literally all you do is walk up steps to get out of the station and the hotel is right there. You cant here the trains. It was a very peaceful hotel and very modern. They also put on a great breakfast, lots to choice from to cater for everyones needs.
Security is also good, as to get through main door, the doors leading to the bedrooms and your own bedroom you need a card to swipe through.
    The bedrooms offer :
    Air conditioning
    Cable / Satellite TV
    Iron and ironing board
    Private bathroom / Ensuite
    Radio

Unique Quality: Tea and coffee making facilities in the lobby so you can help yourself at anytime.
