A great room!
Hotel accommodation is very expensive in Stockholm city centre. Sure you can find a couple of cheap hotels but the reviews are usually poor and a lot of budget hotels in Sweden have shared bathroom facilities. The Hotel Crystal Plaza is a nice mid range hotel in a fine location (Birger Jarlsgaten in Norrmalm) handy for everything. A double room is about £140 - £180 per night for 2 people including breakfast. They have a few "special" rooms though in the hotel's tower and if you are lucky you will find these discounted down. We paid £153 for 2 people which was discounted from about £220 and to be fair it was good value. If you are going to pay a lot for a room it may as well be a top one. Grest view, balcony (if you are a smoker you can get around the hotels no smoking policy by going on the balcony), huge room with a dining table and chairs and well equipped.
