see the Vasa Museet (Vasa Museum). What a fantastic sight!! It's a royal warship that sunk on it's maiden voyage in 1628 before ever leaving the harbor. Because the Baltic has very brackish water, it is free from the boring worms that destroy wooden ships. So, in 1961 the Vasa was found, almost intact, and raised from the depths to be restored. I spent 2 1/2 hours there checking it out and reading everything I could. Absolutely spectacular!was meeting and getting to know the Swedish people. Absolutely love the Swedish language! It has such a beautiful sound to it. Oh, and shopping in Gamla Stan!
