You really have to do get on a boat or two (or five or six...) while you're in Stockholm, it really was a highlight of my trip.
It wasn't warm enough when I was there, but I can imagine people swimming in the clean water, a lovely thing to be able to do in a city.
It's a wonderful setting and a lovely city.Fondest memory would have to be the clear blue skies first thing in the morning and last thing at night and the lovely reflections on the waterways.
And the ferries heading off across the Baltic on a clear sunny summers evening with crowds of people on he back looking out on the city centre. It makes you reember that the water isn't just a historical thing giving the city it's former power, but a living breathing feature of the city that gives it life every day.
