This is a superior business class hotel - we got a great deal for a weekend stay. Our room had an internal window which looked over the atrium where breakfast is served. If you can afford it, a superior room will give you a fantastic view of the boats moored at Nybrokajen.
The rooms were comfortable and tastefully furnished. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I had ever seen - well worth the price of 170 kr. After a long day of sight seeing it was great to relax in the cosy lobby with a drink.
If you had a look at the Grand and envied those who can afford it, this is a second best that is much more affordable. It is back-to-back with the Grand, so it is as close as the Grand to the main attractions, and its view is on a harbour too, although not the same you see from the Grand (this hotel faces the Nybroviken). Luckily the Radisson hotels have various discount formulas, so it is not difficult to find one that may apply to you.
The atmosphere is pleasant, the staff is kind and service is flawless. A rich and delicious buffet is served every morning until 11.
A stylish four star hotel located just by the waterline in Stockholm behind Grand Hotel and opposite the Royal Dramatic theatre. The hotel is quite old and opened for the olympic games in Stockholm in 1912 and is now run by the Radisson SAS hotel chain. The hotel has 150 rooms and if you book a superior room you will get a room with a sea view. The tower suite (you can see the tower on the photo) is probably the best suite in Stockholm with 360 degrees panoramic views of the city. It has two floors and a private roof-top terrace.
The staff are most friendly and especially the atmosphere in the lobby is great. The lobby looks more like a livingroom with comfy sofas and bookshelves.
There is a small gym with a sauna and a business centre with internet and a printer on the ground floor. The rooms also have wireless internet.
There is a restaurant on the ground floor and a lobby bar offering drinks and snacks. The restaurant is among the locals very famous for its weekend brunch, it is often fully-booked and reservations should be made at least a week in advance.
