Good location
I stayed 5 nights in July 2008, and it was a very good stay. Of course, it is important to choose a correct room. There are very small rooms, rooms without windows, and rooms that are almost as train cabins. Mine was a double room, on the last floor, with a good window, air conditioner (some people had written they didn´t have it; they do) and a very nice bathroom.
The inlcuded breakfast is really good, and the hotel is in perfect location: across the Central station, just two blocks away from Arlanda Express (that brings/takes you from the airport), walking distance from Gamla Stan (the old city), shops and the Kulture plaza.
The staff was nice and helpful.
They also had free wireless, and a sauna (which I had no time to use)
Not a five star hotel, but a good stay.

Stockholm central hotel
The hotel is straight across the road from the railway station, is a four or five star . Very comfortable, with resturant, bar, internet etc. The Beatles pop group stayed here in there early days. well worth the rate for the hotel. The currency of Sweden is the Krona.

Most functional location and hotel
For shear location, the Scandic Continental, can not be beaten. It is directly across from the train station and terminal. The express train and buses from Arlanda Airport take you almost to the door.
The metro station is directly across the street to the side. Bus connections also.
Exiting through the upper restaurant takes you to the main street into the city center.
The rooms are adequate and clean.
If you want a functional place to stay so that you can maximize your time enjoying Stockholm, this is it.
Unique Quality: The breakfast is the best that we had in Scandanavia.
The sauna is superb in a great facility. As a result, it actually gets used by the guests. I managed to get much information for our visit from other users.
Web access in the lobby.
We managed to get a great rate through Scandic's web site by prepaying. This is why I'm hitting "not applicable" choice below.

Decent hotel and good location
Basic Scandic Hotel. Good breakfast is included. The location is right across from the train station. Its one block down from the arlanda express. There is some noise from the street so might want to ask for an interior room.
Unique Quality: I stayed in room 324 and the picture is the view from my room.

Scandic Continental
As I usually stay with friends I didn't had much chance to check hotels in Stockholm but when I did stay I try to use the Scandic network of hotels, they are great network of hotels and they have few hotels in Stockholm. I was only staying in one, the Scandic Bromma but I'm sure that this one is good as well.

Here is my reply here as well, Scandic are good in general, I use Scandic network all over Scandinavia, there are few in Stockholm, which ever you take will be ok, Scandic Continental is just near the station.
