Great location, great service
While this hotel is certainly not the cheapest, they often have specials where you can get it under $150/nt, not bad for a nice hotel in Sweden.
The hotel is very centrally located, easy walking distance from Central Station (if you fly in, you take the Arlanda Express from the airport to Central Station and walk about a half KM to the hotel), right by the heart of "downtown" (and the subway) and also right across the bridge from Gamla Stan (the historic Old Town).
As well, the staff here tries very hard to tend to your needs and is very professional. When I decided mid-stay to pack up and check out for a spontaneous excursion to Finland, they not only helped me cancel the rest of my stay there without penalty (may vary depending on type of rate) and also stored all my things securely while I was gone. Class act.
Very centrally located
This hotel is very, very convenintly located--it is close to Gamla Stan, the Central Station, Drottninggatan, the metro...really great location.
Only thing is that it is a bit expensive!!! From the outside it does not look so special, but it has rooms with great views! Ask for a room facing ol town...
Directions: Right in central Stockholm, at Tegelbacken, very close to the old town
Sheraton Group of Hotels
Just across the street from the Old Town Hall & Central Station.
Unique Quality: Convenient location but hotel is a little old.

SÖDERTÄLJE // STOCKHOLM
I'll be in Stockholm from 27 July to 2 August. I'll be traveling to SÖDERTÄLJE for business, but I will have a few free days to explore Stockholm. I would appreciate any suggestions on the must see sights and a recommendation of a nice hotel near the City Centre. I've been told that the Sheraton Stockholm is very nice, but are there any other suggestions? Also, I was hoping to find some pubs that will be lively and possibly include dancing? I know this is a lot to request, but I don't know if I'll make it back, so I want to do it right :) I would appreciate any help that you can give. Thanks!
RE: SÖDERTÄLJE // STOCKHOLM
Lucky you going to Stockholm!
One of my absolute favourite cities in the world.
I recommend you to spend as much time as possible in "Gamla Stan", which translated from Swedish means "The old city". It is so beautiful and also have some very special atmosphere of the historic Swedish power.
The Wasa Ship is another experience: An very old (I do not remember how old) big sailing ship, which for a very short time was the pride of the Swedish king. Like Titanic it sunk on the first trip. This one a short way from the harbour.
My husband who quite often work some days in Stockholm, recommend: Sheraton, Grand Hotel, The Strand, Sergel Plaza, Royal Viking, Nordic Sea and Nordic Light. All nice hotels near the City Centre. Perhaps you should order your hotel as soon as possible? Stockholm is a city there you in periods might experience difficulties in finding a available room.
