Sleeping on a three-mast boat!
You get to sleep on the boat, what more can I say?
It overlooks the central bay of Stockholm, you get wonderful views, you get to sleep in the original perth.
This hotel is mixed genders and there is cupboards for your stuff but bring your own padlock!
The old engine was converted to provide electrivity and heating to this boat.
Have the breakfast provided by the Youth Hostel, it is far cheaper than anything else in this town. Stockholm is VERY expensive.
Unique Quality: you sleep on a 200 yo boat, you get good views of the bay, what more could you ask for?

Af Chapman
Our accomodation was Af Chapman for 2 days in Dec. There isn't much to do on the ship. The floor seems slightly off the horizon. But we slept very well. It's one of the cheaper and more interesting place we stayed.
The kitchen is at the house, which is the other half of the hostel. It is quite near to the ship. So that was not a problem for us.
However, hostelites may not be about to use mobile phones on the ship. At least, that was what the notice at the door stated. If I rightly remembered, the gate to the ship would be locked at certain time of the day.
The staffs were also friendly and helpful. It is a great experience.
Unique Quality: The other plus point is that its central location... easy to move around Stockholm on foot.

Stay near an Ancient Battleship
Now if you've read the title carefully, you would have noticed that I didn't recommend that you stay inc%* in the Af Chapman but near it.
Cramped conditions, creaky wooden floors and deplorable toilets, do I need to say any more? Save your sanity and stay in the lovely big hostel next to the ship. It's cleaner and the toilets are more modern.
The Af Chapman is only good to look at , so take your pictures when the plank is lowered.
