Excellent amenities and facilities - expensive for hostel accommodation that we are used to elsewhere around Europe but for Sweden and Scandanavia excellent value for money - apparently the expenditure of £1000 a year to advertise in the Swedish hostel book and thus the IH book, has not been approved so this place is not advertised and when everything I had tried for miles around was full one of the no-vacancy replies passed this on to me - when I asked! and so about half an hour drive I had this huge hostel to share with just 2 other guys working in the area.
EVerything is here - internet (access plugs in each bedroom to plug into your laptop), tv (and theres 3 tv rooms), 2 kitchens with get your own breakfast, huge and clean bathrooms and bedrooms.
and a good price - 175 kroner to share a dorm, single room 325 kroner, double room 500 kroner. (but extra for sheets - he gave me a reduced price of 25 kroner for sheets.
50 kroner for breakfast of tea and coffee, juice, cereal, toast, yoghurt, eggs and ham (all make your own) but also includes a cup of tea at night of arrival and on the posters, not mentioned verbally, includes a cheese sandwich at night if wanted.
12 kroner is approximately £1.
As above - with tv and internet facilities that are frequently not available in a lot of hostels - and if you have your own vehicle enjoy the enhanced availability away from the general tourist track in a location surrounded by nice countryside. Its a nice drive from Uppsala or from the north. There are a few interesting sites in the vicinity such as the medieval ironore mines at Donnemara and ironworks at Osterbybruk, castle at Orbyhus, coastal towns of Osthammar and Oregrund and even on into Norrland with Gavle and its famed old town. Some of these pensions and hostels are located in the countryside. In spring and summer the surroundings may be very pretty.

I stayed here for 3 days while my daughter checked into university. I liked this hotel very much and it was very reasonably priced. Room was clean, great bathroom, quiet, plentiful breakfast, great location minutes from Central Station and shopping district and very helpful front desk people. I will definitely stay there again.
