STF Vandrarhem: Umea youth hostel
Everytime being in Umea i stay at this clean and cosy hostel. If you like to save money and have a comfort staying I strongly recommend you pick out this accommodation. A two-storeyed building with a huge kitchen on each floor with all facilities a tourist needs. You can cook your own food 24hours a day or go out and have food at numerous restaurants and cafes the hostel surrounded.
In a nutshell this is the best hostel i`ve stayed ever for its tidiness, comfort and safety.
Unique Quality: Located in the center of the city. 5 minutes walking from the cenral bus and railway stations. The shopping area is around a corner. The City Theatre and the area for playing Golf also can be reached by walking. Friendly staff. The front door has a code and every room has a key. Laundry and ironing are also available. Free coffee in the morning with cookies and waffles. Also you can find a bookshelf in the kitchen on the ground floor with a huge number of books and magazines on it. TV. Some of rooms with facilities.

You can book a room without prepayment. If you arrive before 5pm you can leave your luggage in the luggage-room and use all facilities.

R u coming to Umeå as an International Student !
Beware ! There are very very few student rooms available in Umeå City.
As Umeå University has 25,000 and more student...its tough for new comer to find housing in Umeå City...

Here's the pier where we...
Here's the pier where we docked our ship. It's only a few hundred meters from downtown Umeå. You can see the Umeå church in the background.
Unique Quality: Believe it or not but my dad's ship has a small sauna. It was great to bath in it and swim in the river :-)
