The tourist information office is located around the corner from the railway station at the Gotthardstrasse 2. Behind the building along Gottardstrasse there is a kid’s playground.

Hiking

You can start various hikes at the railway station which is only a few meters from the tourist office. Hiking to the devil’s bridge and the Suworow monument takes only 20 minutes, but you may want to make a stop at the church of St. Kolumban while you’re at it. Make sure you have sun and rain protection with you as well as some water and snacks and wear hiking boots if possible.

Andermatt is the mecca of motorcycle riding. If you ride a motorcycle it is mandatory that you one day visit Andermatt. It is surrounded by five mountain passes which can be enjoyed one day at a time or all at once. Okay you'd have to be insane and not run into any traffic or construction to do them all in one day.

Bottom line for motorcycling Andermatt Rocks!!!!

I live in the Texas Hill country now and it's not too bad for riding either ;-)
