"Klewenalp"

15minutes by car from Luzern you ll find a village named beckenried at the lake. the villge itself is not very special (though i must admid i'd never paid attention to it). the reason for me going there is a cablecar up to the KLEWENALP from where you have a beautiful sight over the vierwaldstätter-lake. they also have some skilifts up there, which are not a sensation, but worth a vistit. a good reason for going there is the fact that they just charge 22CHF for half a day (student rate) and are therefore an optimal solution for a afternoon with the friends which also made it out of their beds after a hard night partying in luzern :-)

wheter i find it on a mountain or at the beach, the sun gives me the energy and lust for living!

a good friend once said, that between lying on the beach and being in the sunny mountains it is a close relationship. not concerning the themperatures, but the spirit behind it. and i do admit. when in europe it is wintertime in a lot of places around the world it is summer time, what is a pity. because when its summer here and i want to go travelling it ist either winter in this countrys (like argentinia) or monsun-time (like in central-america). but nevertheless, i do prefer spending wintertime in the montains with my friends and my board on my feets...

Another small ski resort

"Klewenalp - Stockhuette"

From Beckenried, which is just a 1 hour drive away from Zurich, the cable car takes you up to Klewenalp, a rather small ski resort in Switzerland. You have a choice of 40 km prepared skiing slopes, but the highest one is only at 2001 m. If we have that much snow as we had this winter (2002/2003) we just have to take the opportunity to ski also these resorts.
