Flag Demonstration
These 5 gentlemen put on a display of twirling and throwing flags to each other for around 10 minutes. It was an interesting thing to watch. It's much like when the guards do a routine with rifles or flags in other countries.

Have been told there is some sort of Thermal river runs through or near Geneva, anyone can 'jump in' literally. Does anyone have any information about this please? Where to start, costs, where it finishes, clothing etc etc
Thanks
Hi Harold,
I don't know of a thermal river in Geneva proper. The River Arve meets the River Rhône in Geneva and fall into Lake Geneva (aka Lake Léman.) Just mentioning this in case what you heard referred to Lake Geneva as a whole rather than the city of Geneva.
There's a natural pool at Les Bains des Pâquis on the Right Bank. Great "old-fashioned place, swimming in the lake, sauna with cold bath (natural too.)
If you're on the Left Bank, you can take the Mouette (ship across the "Rade") from landing near the Jardin anglais.
Maybe someone knows about a thermal place nearby and can chime in. Best wishes!
I recently went along the French side of Lake Geneva through Evian and Thonon. Both these places have Spas and have a long history of water cures. Thermal water comes into this.
So I would not be at all surprised if there are some thermnal waters in this area.
Here is some more information about Evian

Water, natural gas and electrical energy are provided to the municipalities of the Canton of Geneva by the state-owned Services Industrials de Genève (or SIG). Most of the drinkable water is extracted from the Geneva the remaining the drinking water is provided by groundwater originally formed by infiltration from the Arve River.
Switzerland ranks as my favorite travel destination. Its natural beauty , excellent services and ease of getting around is a huge plus. The only downside is it is a bit expensive..oh not Scandanavian/expensive..but pretty close.Switzerland is one country where reasearching bed/breakfasts and hostels will pay off if you are on a budget. If youre hearty enough and the weather co-operates it may be the best camping in all of Europe.
Climb the saleve.... contact AGAS or friends of saleve (in english). These guys hike up the saleve mountain and elsewhere mostly on weekends.... and its free... look them up on the website..... i think it is AGAS.ch
After having had a drink at the Baroque bar (or dinner at the Baroque restaurant), take the stairs down to the B. Even if it is arguably not the most hip and trendy club in Geneva anymore, it's still crowded every night from thursday to saturday. While less elegant than before the set keeps a special feeling.
Dancefloor classics, house and RnB music are played by various DJs while the young, rich and beautiful crowd dances all night long.
B there and B seen ! Trendy, classy, upscale casual.
