This hotel is perfectly located, right in the city center, not far from the lake, not far from the train station and not far from the old town. Well, even if it is at the fringes of the red light district, this is absolutely no problem during the day. The look of the area is definitely different in the evening, when the ladies start working. Even so it is a bit weird, you could see a restaurant terrace and a few meters farther, some working ladies... I didn't feel insecure at all and would definitely come back but use your own judgment...
The hotel is quite nice from the outside, not too tall, this is still a massive building completely covered by glass (see the picture).
It is quite affordable as well, a WE night booked long enough in advance was around 100E. It's a different story though for a night during the week.
My room was quite nice and spacious. Not too sure why (maybe because I was staying for the whole week) but my friend who was only staying for the weekend only got a tiny room, just big enough to fit his bed.
The furniture are quite modern and classy. Even if looking quite good, the bed could have been a bit more comfortable, it was a bit too hard to my taste.
The breakfast was quite disappointing, this was the usual kind of buffet but there was not too much choice and the warm option was less than appetizing...
