My only stay at the Novotel was on my first night in Neuchatel, before we were sent off to our "pensions" (boarding houses) for the school year... that was Sept of 1975... so it has likely changed for better or for worse since then.
We had our Christmas party at the Novotel as well... my most vivid memory of that was being hit in the side of the head by a brussel sprout - I've never felt the same way about them since, I have to admit.
I do recall that the mother of a fellow student stayed there, while she was over to visit.
Novotels have good reputations, and give good quality.
I can't give you any prices because a) they would be way out of date and b) the accomodation was arranged by the school.

It was very handy to the downtown area, for walking about, or for going up to the train station.
