Bellerive Hotel

A nice hotel, reasonably (if that word can be used to apply to Switzerland) priced considering that it's right by the lake. The bus stop is right outside and saves a long walk into town. At the desk they gave us a free 24 hour bus pass which we could use as often as we like. Reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Unique Quality: 1. Great view of the lake from the 4th floor. It costs a few dollars extra but we reckoned that since we'd be forking out anyway, we might as well go the whole hog. It faces the back so was quiet, but I guess that rooms facing the street might be a little noisier.
2. Free parking!
3. Bathroom towels nice and thick.

If you can afford it, I would definitely recommend the Hotel Beau Rivage. Located in Ouchy, the lakeside of Lausanne, it is a luxurious hotel with stunning views on the Lake and the Alps.

If this is not within your budget, I would still recommend for you to go their outside Cafe and enjoy a coffee/tea on a sunny afternoon....
