CLOSED FOR RENOVATION UNTIL FALL 2014 Hotel Royal Savoy

Was an elegant hotel in a chateau 20 years ago. But, it is not keeping up. The hotel has always had true antiques for all its furnishings, including the guest rooms. While this may please a few, it does have its drawbacks. 100 year old chest of drawers tend to have drawers that don't open or close very easily. Antique chairs are not the most comfortable, and the list goes on.

Don't get me wrong, the place is beautiful, nice grounds, pleasant staff and you can walk to the train station and be down at the lake in under 10 minutes. I just don't think most travelers under the age of 60 will be satisfied spending this much money for a hotel lacking in modern conveniences.
