Lovely hotel
We found this hotel at the rail station when we arrived in Lausanne. We called and they had a vacancy. We were given walking directions and had no trouble finding Elite.
Unique Quality: We had a lovely double room with a view of Lake Geneva and the Alps

About Frs. 200 per night for a double room, Frs. 150 for a single.
Unique Quality: First of all, this place is very pink. Also, the rooms are large and comfortable; many suites are available, which was especially important for me, since I was traveling with a snorer!
Best of all is the location. It's just steps from the Rue de Petit-Chene, about 2 minutes from the main railway station, and about 15 minutes (all uphill) from the Place St.-Francois. Despite this, it does provide guest parking.
And the rooms on the top floor have incredible views of Lac Leman and (when the weather's clear) the French Alps.
