More stunning lakeside spots of Lake LeMan

"Back in one of my favourite areas - stunning!"

I love the Lac Leman area - especially the views from the heights above the lake when descending from the Gstaad-Chateau D'oex-Gruyere area - and i am particularly fond of Montreux - mainly biased because in this breathtaking setting is one of the best castles to visit ie Chatillon with beautiful mountains behind - even more special if theres snow on top too! - and one of my special memories of beautfiful red poppies on the foreshore with that amazing water colour that only Switzerland and New Zealand has (I am biased arent I!)

"A minute off the freeway and voila!"

This time i was on the shorter freeway route from Bern so instead of the very scenic route down through Fribourg with the beautiful views above and along Lac Leman I was on the road that comes out to the west of Lausanne but comes down to Morges - an easy one minute off the freeway and well signpostings there you are at this beautiful spot beside Lac Leman.
What a setting for a marina, and castle there too - now a military museum - and the tourist office is right there too. Lots of parking just there and then all along the lakeside - and even more stunningly beautiful views of blue water to the mountains in the background on the other side of the lake.
Very popular area for the locals with benches and facilities for the community to enjoy the lakeside - and little outdoor cafes along the way too.
