Good Touring Hotel
Brig is a popular choice for touring - being at the junction of so many railways and post bus routes. We chose the Hotel Ambassador for a 3 night stay at its close to the station (just a few mins stroll away on the flat) yet in a quiet street. Breakfast was buffet style and a good selection with fresh juice, coffee, selection of breads, fruit, cereal, yoghurt, cheese, meats and jams. Good swiss breakfast for walkers
Unique Quality: The room we had - was on the small side but perfectly adequately for a short stay. The bathroom had a larger than average shower which was powerful. Space to put the cases too out of the way which is always a bonus. Its not well advertised but the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced, meals were of a good portion and tasty - we had Swiss style pork steaks, covered with ham and cheese.
We booked with swiss travel centre and paid 130 Sfr per night for a double room.
