Chalet Rose des Alpes, Champery: This place has everything, would definitely return

A group of six of us, 3 dads (all old mates) and 3 sons (15,15 &16, all mates) stayed here in 3 x twin rooms for the first 4 days of 2008.
The Chalet is excellently situated in the centre of the village, near to the cable car that whisks you up to the hill, very very handy for all the bars around the village and there are a few and handy for Geneva Airport.
The hotel itself is ideal, a great atmosphere, very pleasant dining facilities and grub, a cracking bar, a hot tub on the roof, overall the standard was excellent and the staff are a fantastic team. Alpine Tracks, the British company who operate the hotel, obviously put alot of care and planning into getting a good team in place and this really does show. All were very welcoming, pleasant and had no problem giving advice and answers to guests queries.
As for the terrain available, once you're up the cable car you are literally spoilt for choice, you can 'stay local' or head for the French side with Avoriaz and Morzine at your disposal. The area is better placed for intermediates and above, I didn't notice much beginners area handy to be honest. If, when you get down from cable car, you don't fancy the short trek up to the hotel there is an around the village bus every twenty minutes that makes the return a wonderful two minutes!

Alpine Tracks are definitely to be recommended, I reckon they've got everything pretty much perfect here.
