First impression is that hotel room is a bit dated (think 1980s deco) but well maintained. Room is spacious. I paid extra for a balcony and the view is good - into the valley. Room is tidied and kept clean everyday by the maid. Bath room is acceptable and clean. But no kettle or coffee making facility in room - common in Switzerland.
Breakfast is acceptable for a 4 star hotel. Sometimes the scrambled egg is too salty. As for dinner, it is good value considering it is only 20 CHF extra per person per night. The wine and water is expensive compared to resturants outside. 2 glass of wine and 1 bottle of water cost CHF 60!!. I paid CHF90 for a bottle of wine in the resturant. Also, hotel resturant closed at 9:00pm. So on your first night if u arrive late, you got to eat out.
The indoor swimming pool is small and ok for a dip - not for swimming laps. The jacuzzi (next to the pool) is about room temperature - strange for those used to warm/hot tubing. There is a "private" sauna room that u can book for free. The wellness centre with streamroom and sauna is ok except those man walking around naked!!!!
The hotel is in the middle of the village so you got a fair bit of walk to the Alpine express or the village ski life. Hotel will arrange for their driver to take you to the life in the morning but u got to walk back in the evening. Leave your skis and boots at the "ski depot" - hence bring your walking shoes!
