Good full-service hotel
We were coming to Saas-Fee right at the beginning of the hiking season, so not all hotels were open. Hotel Europa ended up our choice. The hotel has a 3-star and 4-star section; I think we were put in the 4-star section because there were so few guests. The room was comfy and had a balcony with a nice view of the Fee Glacier. The building itself was a bit run-down and the staff was quirky. Good breakfast in the ground-floor dining room, even if the host treated us as though we were trying to steal a free meal the first morning (I double-checked -- the confirmation DID say "breakfast included").
The hotel does offer a valuable extra: For CHF 20 per person per day, you can get a "Saastal Card," which allows you unlimited use of all mountain lifts (not including ski lifts), as well as Postauto bus service in the entire Saas Valley. One trip to Allalin alone more than pays for this pass, so it's certainly worth considering.
