The idyllic, car-free, glacier resort of Saas-Fee is situated at an altitude of 1800 metres above sea-level, This mountain village has an amazing setting, with its glistening glaciers, like tongues of ice creeping down to its outer edges. No less than 13 four-thousand-metre peaks encircle the village at the foot of the glaciers like a shell Outside of Switzerland its less well known than touristic bustling Zermatt but the hiking is just as good with levels of difficulty to suit all.
The sunny Saas Valley - The Pearl of the Alps - is situated amidst the highest mountains in Switzerland. Guaranteed snow, a mild, southerly climate low in allergens, superb scenery and unspoilt villages. Majestic four-thousand-metre peaks, glaciers so close you could almost touch them, a deep blue sky: that's the Saas Valley. Saas Fee Village is situated at 1800metres above sea level.
