The walk takes about 45mins to 1 hr to reach the hut. Its best to undertake this walk in the morning too. The path is flattened out by a snow plough of sorts but was not quite as compact as I thought it would be and your feet do tend to sink down a couple of inches as you walk - makes for harder walking and at altitude too it was hard going.
