what is the legal age for getting into clubs, bars and afterski in verbier and do you need any documentation for it?

Legal drinking age in Switzerland for spirits is 18, but consumption of wine, beer etc. is allowed from age 16. Après-ski starts around 17.00 and you should have no problem getting into bars anyway, as there is no specific age for entering - bars don't only serve alcohol/spirits. If you look about 15, you would be well-advised to carry photo ID to get served; if you ARE 15, you can only order soft drinks.
Verbier hosts a classical music festival in mid to end of July. It's way too sophisticated for my musical tastes - I'm more U2, Lenny Kravitz etc but if it's your thing there is a web site already set up for the 2005 festival.

Why extreme? Just look up the Bec des Ross peak, you will see some Kamikaze riding down the face avoiding or jumping rocks barriers... of course everything are under control... until the next turn ;-)

Next 11th edition: 17-19 March 2006 to see pro freeriders in fresh powder from the friendly village is set up at the Col des Gentianes (3000 m) just in front of the Bec des Rosses: the perfect place to admire the breathtaking runs of the freeriders.
Spent 18 days in Verbier and it was amazing. The snowboarding was great, the hiking awesome, the paragliding thrilling, the nightlife eclectic, the fondue awesome and the views breathtaking. An amazing getaway if you love the outdoors, the snow and adventure. I understand why so much of Europe heads to the Swiss Alps during the winter. Incredible. I'd go back again and again.
