Your money's worth
This hotel is 5 minutes to the Sunnegga Express which transports the skiers up to the ski slopes. Because of its location and if you book rooms facing the Matterhorn which might be 60, 61, 62 or 70, 71 or 72 you can wake up with the glow of the first sunrays setting the Matterhorn alight and adding to its majestic beauty. We had a special offer which was SFr. 900.00 from 4th-10th January 2009 and this included breakfast and dinner.
Another feature of this hotel is that it is high above Zermatt and as such you have a fantastic view of the village and especially when the lights go on at night.
Unique Quality: There is a Sauna, Turkish bath, pool and whirlpool with a view of the Matterhorn. Rush hour is always after the skiiers return so it is advisable to get in between 2 to 4pm and you could have the whole area to yourself.
The restaurant is just great your table is reserved for the whole week and the food is really exquisite. Remember tastes varied and if you enjoy Swiss cooking then it is absolutely delicious with a taste of things like raclette which is melted cheese on potatoes or steaks from the grill or specially created deserts from the chef which are really mouth watering. There is a great choice of wine but prices are like SFr. 60 or less per bottle, we spoiled ourselves and enjoyed Portuguese, Italian and of course Swiss wines.
