Yes,, from Lonely Planets guidebook = Via Ludovico il Moro. From map it appears you could walk directly accross vielle stazione street from train station to Hotel Internazionale, turn right and around next corner is Metropoli (ending in I , i suspect that spelling threw off the above reply)

The lovely and very interesting thing about this town is that its in Italian speaking part of switzerland. The ground or floor of the streets over here are made of STONES ! like in Italy. Some people like it and some do not :-) Its colourful buildings with italian architecture.
I really like this thing about this amazing country - Switzerland that even its just a small country but the diversity and blend of cultures is so prominent and everyone is allowed to protect its culture and live life according to his or her own wish ! The buildings are one of the most eye catching thing of this town. I am very sure that u will definitely take atleast 2 or 3 pictures of buildings alone. Overhere are the architecture of the buildings is very similiar to the ones in Italy. May be because these people are mostly italian decendents.
Bellinzona is the capital of the Canton Ticcino in Switzerland. It is 73 kms from the border town of Chiasso between italy and switzerland. It is in the south-east of the switzerland. Locarno is 22 and Ascona is 26 kms from here.
There is a great cannon shown opposite of the tourist-information and there are also lots of paintings of old scenes of Bellinzona`s history right under the arcades of the innercourt of Palazzo Civico, the townhall of Bellinzona.
Casa del Populo / house of the people is the name of this building with some interesting architecture and you will find it in a distance of about 100 meters from the trainstation of Bellinzona. Take a look at this great art-nouveau facade !
