Engelberg's Titlis Schanze will host World Cup events on Dec 21 & 22. The K 120 hill is situated in the southern part of the town and the stadium capacity is up to 20.000 spectators. Current hill record holders are Simon Ammann of Switzerland and Alan Alborn of USA with 137 m.

The glacier paradise Titlis at 10,000 feet (3'020 m) offers a snow and ice experience at the highest viewpoint in Central Switzerland all year round. Ascending in the world's first revolving gondola "Rotair" is like being an eagle surveying the landscape from the glacier world to the planes. On Mount Titlis, you will find several restaurants, a sun terrace (outside) and a "toporama" (inside panorama hall) to enjoy the breathtaking panoramic view. In case of bad weather, a movie is shown. Don't miss the "Glacier Grotto" (free entrance), right next to the mountain cable car station. It is a 130 m roundtrip below the earth's surface full of niches and cross points.
It's a 40 minute journey through many changes of scenery from the green valley bottom up into the high alpine glacier region. Three different aerial cable cars, all wheelchair accessible, take you into the snow and ice to the peak of Mt. Titlis, 3020 meters above sea level, where you will breathe some of the purest air in the world. At Engelberg board 6 person gondolas and journey up to the Trübsee half-way station (1'800 m). Then continue to the Stand glacier station by cable car. During the journey with the Rotair, the floor of the cable car rotates once around its own axis. At this altitude you can see as far as the Black Forest in Germany. The view of the world at you feet is awe inspiring!
