angels all over Engelberg
Engelberg = "hill of the angels" The name of this village comes from an old ledgend : Konrad von Sellenbüren, the founder of the benedictinian monastery heared angels voices, who told him, where to build the monastery.
Nowadays you will find a total of 84 angels painted and decorated by different artists, and standing at various places of the village. you can even buy a booklet showing all of these angels for 55 sfr. In fact it is quite hard to find some of them without help, some of them hide on private balconies etc.
