Good Hiking-shoes & more

Good shoes are essential everywhere in the swiss mountains, otherwise you will have to stay at the platforms around of the stations of the cablecar, while the real fun and best panoramaviews are mostly at places, where you will be able to walk to only with good shoes and a non-slippery sole. Even when it is sunny and hot down in Engelberg it could be quite cold and windy up on Titlis or any other mountain, so it is the best to have several shirts, jackets, pullovers etc., that you can partly zip off according to the weather-situations.
Summer-snow on Mount Titlis

Mount Titlis is a perfect place to go to, when you would like to enjoy some snow in summertime. Good hiking-shoes are essential for this and maybe you also take some walking-sticks. There is a chairlift called "Ice-flyer" that takes you across the glacier, but you can walk there as well and will find enough space to spend the full day. The only restaurant I saw is the one at the rotair-cablecarstation. I was there in August, that is the hottest time of the year in Switzerland and they had enough snow there, as you can see in my photos.
