Would recommend this hotel for a stay in Basle, as although it is on the edge of the city, there is a tram line to the city right outside the door. Service was good and the sleek white lobby was very impressive.
The rooms were also very ultra modern, with floor to ceiling windows and underfloor lighting in the bathroom.
I have to say that whilst the floor to ceiling windows were impressive, the view from the hotel were nothing special.
The bar, also with floor to ceiling windows, was comfortable and the staff very obliging.
Breakfast was a very well stocked buffet affair.
Unique Quality: Breakfast was impressive, and also the fact that the hotel gave you a free 2 day pass which allowed you to travel on the trams for free.
The lobby is a bit like a huge Ikea showroom.
We booked this hotel as a cheap option for our visit to Basel, without really fully knowing how good it would be. When we arrived, we realised we had gotten a bargain, as it is perhaps the most luxorious hotel I have stayed in.
The views from the room was amazing. The hotel staff very friendly, and although not directly in the centre of Basel old town, only a short tram ride away.
Unique Quality: Everything at the hotel was of a high quality. The breakfast, in particular was excellent. We enjoyed it that much, we even had a meal in the hotel on evening.
Directions: Accross the river, on the other side from the main square. It is the tallest building in Basel. You can't miss it!
