Hiking is a must when you're in Adelboden. One relatively short option is the hike to Mt. Regenboldshorn.
Take the bus to Geils and the gondola up to Hahnenmoospass. Turn south and an hour (or one and a half, depending on your fitness) later you will have reached the summit. The final part of the hike is quite steep, so be careful. Signposting is excellent, no problems with directions :-)
Have a picnic up there and enjoy the gorgeous views! Wildstrubel massif with its glaciers is very close and dominates the scenery. Further west you can recognise Mt. Wildhorn with a glacier and the glacier of the Diablerets massif.
Very nice are the views of the lovely valley of Lenk, and the views back to Adelboden are great, too.
For the descent you can choose to either return to Hahnenmoospass or hike down via Nassberg and Bütschi Falls to Bergläger, which is a pleasant alternative. Back by gondola or bus to Adelboden. Good hiking boots are essential. A map is of advantage, but not a must.
