Cozy, clean and friendly Hostel
Bern Backpackers is by far one of the best hostels in which I've ever stayed. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were simple and clean. The best thing about this hostel is the hip, comfortable and cozy common area. The common area is comprised of a euro-style dining area with plenty of tables, plenty of clean couches, a full-service kitchen, laundry room, internet access (coin operated) and last, but not least, an entertainment living room with plenty of movies to choose from. The hostel's location is also ideal. It is located in the heart of the old city with easy and close access to all the major trams.
Unique Quality: Don't let their simple Website fool you. This is a great hostel.

Great place in the centre
I have never seen such clean hostel in Europe. Budget hotel Glocke is situated in the old centre of Bern. We stayed in double room on the 4th floor so we had beautiful view of the old town roofs. We payed 140 CHF for doubleroom with shower and WC. Everything there was soooo clean - sheeting, towels,... There was a TV in the room. All the rooms are non-smoking.
