Château-d'Oex

Château-d'Oex is an interesting village closeby Gstaad and it is well known for annual ballooning-events. It was also from Château-d'Oex that Bertrand Piccard started to circumnavigate the earth in 1999 with the ballon "Breitling Orbiter III" . There is a Balloon-museum and you will also see the capsule of that first non-stop-circumnavigation there (my 4th photo!)
There is a nice church as well and some lovely wooden houses.
