Good Location

This hotel was very nice and clean, with a big room. The staff was wonderful, being very helpful at the all information that I needed. The breakfast was good also.

One of the main advantages of this hotel, is it's location. It's just beside the Interlaken Ost station, which is the base for arrivals and departures of interlaken, and also for all the Jungfrau montain. If you want a good hotel near the train station, this is the one. It's not so far from the center of the city also, since it's very small and you can walk easily.

A central accomodation

We had a pleasant stay here. Very quiet though it is situated along the famous Höheweg(main street) in Interlaken. It is a central point for many excursions in the Jungfrau region. A cozy breakfast room and restaurant. Just 400-meters away from Interlaken East railway stationand ferries, a few steps away from Harder-Kulm Cable Railway, 3 km to Unterseen and 5 minutes by foot to the town center.

Hotel Europa

This hotel is short walk west from the Interlaken Ost train station. We were there in November 2003. It appeared as if they were in the midst of renovation. The back of the hotel was covered with scaffolding. The hotel doors seemed to be of unfinished wood. A workman was painting on the first floor. Our room was on the 3rd floor. It was large with 2 twins and down comforters European style. The private bathroom was also large and newly renovated.

Unique Quality: The renovations were ongoing. When we entered our room we forgot the key in the lock outside the room. We were locked in the room. We called the desk for 1/2 hour and got no answer. There was no other exit from the room. Finally someone at the front desk answered and came up to let us out. We were much more careful about our room keys after that!
In house restaurant served Indian food. The chef seemed Bengali from the taste of the food. Food was quite spicey for a European diner.
