Never bunked here but friends swear it's the best for the least. Bar is best place in town to meet locals and fellow travelers and enjoy reasonably priced food and drink. Friendly, helpful staff will take good care of you. Tell Piet, Hans and Helen that Michael sent you :-)
Friendly staff with a great night atmosphere for international travelers. The Lodge is located near the train station and bus stop that takes you to the ski/snowboard areas. The rooms were clean and the beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are shared by other rooms on your floor which is ok for me, since the price is unbeatable. THe bathrooms were clean and all you need is shower shoes and a towel.
Unique Quality: Dart board, beer on tap, music, breakfast and dinner menu's.
Directions: near the west tration station, real close.

Me & my husband are visiting interlaken during Aug '06 from 23rd to 28th.
while searching for a good, clean, cheap, with breakfast accomodation in Interlaken, i came across following hostels on the net. please help me whether i can choose these, as i have mentioned above, i need, clean, calm, good accomodation near the centre of interlaken with Breakfast ( pref)

hi there!I would recommend a good cheap hotel,if you want a relaxing holiday;) Sometimes lodges can be crowded;) Swiss hotels/hostels are known for their good quality and standard,but there's a saying,"you only get what you pay for;)"? Try Beausite Hotel Seestr.16 3800 Interlaken. Interlaken is really beautiful,so I hope you enjoy ur stay there;)

both of them are in a distance of about 400 meters to walk from Westbahnhof.
The main problem with the very popular hostels is certainly, that they are not "calm" at all, but parties going on sometimes...
Beausite - as mentioned before - is another good choice and in the same area as Roessli & Hardermannli.
