Fantastic Welcoming Hotel

Really comfy home from home hotel, rooms were basic but very clean, bathroom was very tiny and more like a plastic pod (but did what it said on the tin), our room had a balacony which had lovely views. Quiet hotel, with its own tv lounge as well as bar area with own smoking room. Tables and chairs to the front and side of the hotel which although on the main road was still pleasant to sit and watch the world go by.
Breakfast had multi coloured boiled eggs to the amusement of us all, cold meats and pate with jams for the freshly cooked croissants and bread rolls, also cereal and yoghurts and fresh fruit. Enough coffee and tea (off all varieties) to set you up for the day, you were never rushed and the drinks were refilled often. Food in the evening was good and would recommend the "rostis".
Excellent base for the walking in Kandersteg, although no nightlife but after walking or sking all day would you want to party?
Free wifi in hotel and a fridge for out of hours soft drinks and beer (pot to place money in).
Staff were all very friendly and would certainly recommend this hotel, if you want exactly the same but wish to pay more then go further up the road but why pay more? We will certainly be returing and the guests that recommended the hotel to us have returned numerous times.
